Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?
As probably for many dj’s it all started as a hobby and thru the love for music. As a student I got a residency in a club in the small town I was studying in, this was 1996. There I learned all about dj’ing and working the crowd. My inspiration was Detroit techno and house, dj’s like Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson were my heroes back then.

How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?

Technology has completely changed producing tracks and has made it much easier especially for collaborations. I can put together part of a track, send it over to someone to take a look at, they can add to it and send it back to me, and this can all be done almost instantly. I can also produce wherever I am in the world, which makes the balance of making music and touring a lot easier than ever. DJing has also changed a huge amount due to technology. You are no longer restricted by vinyl in the same way. It gives DJs more of an opportunity than ever to really create a sound that is distinctly theirs.

We’ve always loved house music, and up until a few years ago, were merely the kids at the front of the crowd for every show. All those times watching your favorite DJs play to thousands of people is truly an unforgettable experience, one that resonated so deeply within us that we knew we had to become just like them. Mixing music was the next step.

Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?
We have been djing since the mid eighties started off playing 80’s soul and early hip hop then gripped by house in around 88 – we started putting on raves in the very early 90’s and loved it ever since – in those days we looked up to house heroes such as Marshall Jefferson – Bam Bam - Frankie Knuckles – masters at work to name a few and any artists releasing on Trax records or other Chicago and Detroit labels.
