Q1: Could you give us a brief self-introduction? My name is Franklin Tong and I’m the Bar Manager at drop. I’ve been working here for almost 5 years.
Q2: Where do you work? At Drop bar
Q3: What is better big or small bar? I prefer to work in smaller more intimate, well designed bars.
Q4: What makes you want to work in a bar? And how did you start your career? I started bar work when I was looking for a Summer Job, I was good at it and I loved it so much that I decided to continue bar work as a career.
Q5: Favorite drink that you prepare? Cocktails – a strawberry mule in particular. Any shots - come and try my new creation called ‘Emily’
Q6: favorite drink that you have yourself? Vodka Shot
Q6: Best thing about working in a bar/club/restaurant? I enjoy meeting a lot of great people in a bar environment and if you’re good, people make you feel like a star!
Q7: Maddest thing you have seen happen at work? Seeing someone get so smashed that she broke one of the bar tables with her forehead.
Q8: Strangest drink request? That would be a very long list! But, one of them is a ‘Quick fuck in the loop’
Q9: Best hangover cure? Drink a lot of water before you go to bed, even if it makes you feel even more sick!
Q10: Where do you go out at night after work? I go home and walk my dogs.
