Eric Byron is
Q1: Could you give us a brief self-introduction?
Eric Byron was born in Nice, France in 1981. In 1996, at the age of 15, he arrived in Hong-Kong.
Eric’s djing career began almost as soon as he arrived in Hong-Kong. It didn’t take him long to move from bedroom DJ to the real thing; starting with beach parties every Saturday night using his own equipment. These parties moved from a night between friends to huge parties – attracting hundreds weekly – and encouraged Eric to take his talents to town.
The breadth and range of Eric’s talent can be seen simply through the extent and speed of his achievements to date. He has played in the best clubs, venues and parties in HK, as well as venues throughout Asia; he played to crowds of 15,000 for the ‘555’ tour of China’s big cities in 2002; he played at the infamous ‘full moon party’ in Thailand’s Koh Pangang, and he played at the first international ‘rave party’ in Ipoh, Malaysia – to name but a few.
In addition to this, Eric has worked for Hong-Kong’s top promoters and has played alongside some of the best international DJ’s, such as; Terry Francis, Slacker, Sven Vath, James Zabiela…
Eric is currently the resident D.J. of Drop –recently voted “HK’s best club”.
He can also be found at numerous events around Hong-Kong including most recently, the ‘Hard-Core Dior’ party for Christian Dior’s latest launch.
Having released his own C.D., in conjunction with gogo productions, entitled “Liquid presents Eric Byron” in 2002; Eric is now devoting his spare time to producing his own music in his recording studio.
