Joyce Mercedes was born in Nijmegen (Netherlands) on the 3rd March under the star sign Pisces. Her name stands for joy and protection. Her creativeness, which is so characteristic for a Pisces, finds it’s expression in her greatest passion - music.

Since she was young she has devoted herself with all of her heart to music. She has always been occupied with singing, dancing and acting and in those days she would spend her last penny on buying records.  Joyce has always been a good student. After passing her VWO-exams she decided to study economics with specializing in the commercial section. Her first year she studied in Nijmegen, her second year in Amsterdam. However, in Amsterdam she soon realized that this study was not the right choice for her. She wanted to further herself through her dancing, music and singing: that’s her passion. So in 1992 she decided to start working as an artist.

Joyce has worked for agency’s like Extension and Pantera, which organized her dance performances. She has danced in the biggest clubs of Europe and USA (IT-Amsterdam, Le Bain-Paris, Liquid-Miami, Escape(chemistry/Hour Power)-Amsterdam, Karma-Romania, Live-New York, etc.etc.). She has been in a lot of dance fashion shows and quite regularly she was dancing in video clips which have entered the Top Ten.

In 1996 she started together with Irene (fashion designer DNA) a spectacular dance-show-tour called “Stryker & Holmesâ€�, which started in Ibiza, where they set up shows in clubs like Pasha, El Devino, Monday’s, Manumission and Space. After Ibiza the toured through the north of Italy. After Italy the performed in New York, Miami, Paris and of course back in Amsterdam. By then Joyce was involved for quite some time in various singing projects and eventually made  her choice for “Centerfoldâ€�. This ended her dancing career and started her singing career.

With Centerfold she had gigs in The Netherlands, Europe and the Middle-East (concert in Dubai). One of those Gigs was during half time of Ajax/PSV on the middle stip of the “Arena“ Amsterdam. Joyce also has a model career  and worked in the passed with photographers like Thom Hoffman, Paul Huf, Jasper Zwartjes, Govert de Roos, Mike v.d. Toorn, Carli Hermes and Erwin Olaf. She did among other things campaigns for Campari, Heineken, Gap-Star and Playboy.

DJ-ing, she played along DJ’s like Matthew Dekay, Stef Vrolijk, Fred Numf, Ozgur Can , Sasha, Anthony Pappa, James Holden, Sister Bliss, Paul van Dyk, Chris Fortier en Derrick May.   She is a resident-DJ at the Supperclub (Amsterdam), and was a  'Space World Tour' resident for 2 years.  She plays in many clubs in and outside Europe. Due to her "all-roundness" she feeds and understands the crowd and hypnotises them with her sound. Her deep and trippy quality progressive/house style with tribal influences always pump the dance floor!!!

In April 2003 she successfully completed the AED course at the SAE, and got herself an 'Audio engineering diploma'.  After that she continued studying at the SAE to specialise more into the software, and got her "Electronic music production" certificate  in  January 2004. At the moment she is next to DJ-ing also busy as a music producer. In 2005 she wants to release some of her own productions.
