When Friar Lawrence sent out Friar John to alert Romeo of his and Juliet’s cunning plan he had no idea how bad the Renaissance courier system was. So, what if the maligned messenger had another chance at it? Would it be his bad luck to fail again? And again? At the hands of a variety of literary characters that each have their own say about the tragedy?
A play by Yuri Baranovsky, the script is a hilarious retelling of Romeo and Juliet, interwoven with characters from Hamlet, Macbeth, Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the ever-famous Robin Hood. It's chock full of physical and witty humor, with spontaneous and quick-witted verse to boot. Already performed multiple times to rave reviews in the USA, this is the first Asian debut of this play.
