We believe that Hong Kong has one of the most vibrant underground music scene in the world today, and, to prove it, The Underground HK is planning to produce a compilation CD that will showcase the energy & creativity of Hong Kong in one easily accessed package for the world to see!
We are now looking for bands to take part in this project.
We want bands of alternative genre and priority will be given to bands who have performed or who will be performing in The Underground.
This project is a joint collaboration with Mark 1 Studios.
We are offering bands the chance to record two ORIGINAL tracks to be included and promoted on "The Underground Compilation #1". The recordings will take place at Mark 1 Studio (live recordings with vocals overdub). The Underground & Mark 1 Studio will pay all expenses to record, mix & produce your songs and include them in the compilation. We will promote the CD and sell it at all Underground gigs as well as distributing to record shops and online shops. Your band will also receive some free copies as well as the chance to purchase more at wholesale pricing on consignment.
