James Morrison – Australian Jazz Legend Blaine has played with some of the worlds greats like Roberta Flack, Mary Wilson (Supremes), Laura Fygi, Wynton Marsalis, Nils Landgren(Swedan) and Canto pop stars like Justin Lo, Janice, Chris Wong, Leo Ku, Twins, Anthony Lun and most recently a world tour with mega star Jacky Cheung.
This, Blaine’s third album release, is a contrast from his two previous jazz albums. Blaine delivers the smoothest contemporary sounds, merging jazz /funk and R&B groove. Blaine’s band features the cream of HK musical talent with an all star line up:

Sound Barrier captures an exciting blend of original tunes with more familiar well knowns. From the extremely funky “Scorpion” featuring D.J Bonez, to James Morrison’s muted trumpet on Burt Bacharach’s “Walk on By”, to Erina Clark’s soulful interpretation of Paul Simon’s “Still Crazy After All These Years”, this album launches a fascinating repertoire, the likes of which has not been heard before in HK.
