Le Rideau hosts hilarious French theatre from Paris
Thursday, 08 March 2007
What do girls talk about? Find out at Le Rideau from Thursday March 8 through Sunday March 11, as it hosts four consecutive evenings of non-stop hilarity and entertainment, with the production of original French comedy De Quoi Parlent Les Filles (What Girls Talk About).
Tickets are available at Le Rideau for $300, including one drink. Doors open at 7:30pm and the curtains rise at 8:30pm. The show will be performed in French.
Conceived and written by performers Celine Beeckmans and Djaka Souare and directed by Eliane Daoud, De Quoi Parlent les Filles captures an evening in the life of two roommates, Roxane and Solange, who find themselves locked in their own apartment on Valentine’s Day. What ensues is a night of rapid-fire repartee and unadulterated disclosure as these two quirky women share their lives, dreams, thoughts and fantasies. Mime, dance song and comedy mingle to create a witty performance that promises lots of laughs.
The production premiered at Théâtre La Cachette in Paris in June 2006. This marks the play’s Asian premiere.
