ImageRock fans are up to a good start in 2008 as American quintet My Chemical Romance hits the stage with its first-ever live performance in Hong Kong - "My Chemical Romance The Black Parade Tour Live in Hong Kong 2008" on 29 January, 2008 at the AsiaWorld-Expo.

Formed in the aftermath of 9/11, the quintet from New Jersey wrote its first song "Skylines and Turnstiles", a testament to the devastation brought about by the tragic event. My Chemical Romance went on to record its debut album "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" which was released in 2003 to critical acclaim.

The follow up album "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" released in 2004 was an aggressive and forward-thinking work that made a mark in the modern rock scene. It quickly went Platinum in the United States and sold over two million copies worldwide.

The success of the second album made My Chemical Romance's third attempt a highly-anticipated one. "The Black Parade" does not disappoint at all. The album sees a mature departure from the band's previous efforts. "The Black Parade" is a breath-taking epic complete with heroes, villains, terror and sadness. The first single "Welcome To The Black Parade" opens with a haunting piano line and gradually evolves through marching drums and dramatic guitars bends before launching into a blistering verse and a triumphant chorus. The rest of the album is equally impressive: "House Of Wolves" combines blues, rockabilly and punk essence, whereas "Mama" exudes romping blends of vaudevillian rhythm.

Don’t miss the chance to see My Chemical Romance’s first-ever live gig in Hong Kong. Brought to you by Midas Promotions, My Chemical Romance's captivating The Black Parade Live in Hong Kong is held on 29 January, 2008 at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Tickets to this one-night only event are on sale through HK Ticketing (www.hkticketing.com; tel: 31 288 288) from 17th December 2007.
