Ngong Ping 360 reached its first year target of 1.5 million guests today, three months earlier than originally projected.  The news comes at a perfect time as Ngong Ping 360 prepares to participate in the International Travel Expo Hong Kong (ITE) to be held this week at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Ngong Ping 360 began operations on 18th September, 2006, and has been receiving excellent positive feedback from local and overseas guests, regarding the quality of the experience and the service delivered by the Ngong Ping 360 team.

Bill Calderwood, Managing Director of Skyrail-ITM (Hong Kong) Ltd, operator of Ngong Ping 360 said: “Nine months ago we challenged our team to create and deliver a truly world class tourism experience, which would leave a lasting and positive impression on our guests. The level of support from the public and the trade, and the feedback we are receiving, all indicate our team has not only accepted the challenge but is delivering on our promise.”

The ongoing success of Ngong Ping 360 will depend on building on this strong start and working in close co-operation with travel trade partners through various marketing initiatives. Participation in ITE is part of the marketing program to promote Ngong Ping 360 to travel trade and consumers, and at the same time, it offers an opportunity to further enhance Ngong Ping 360’s profile as one of Hong Kong’s leading tourism experiences.

“We at Skyrail-ITM are very proud of this unique tourist attraction, and are very excited to meet our first year target.” added Bill Calderwood, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the enduring support given by Hong Kong Tourism Board, our local and overseas travel trade partners, as well as all the visitors from around the world.”

Bill Calderwood continues: “The commitment of Ngong Ping 360 is to provide guests with a truly unique world-class tourism experience. Ongoing initiatives will be introduced in the coming year to further enhance the quality of our services for both our guests and trade partners.”

Ngong Ping 360, built within the North Lantau Country Park, combines a stunning 5.7km cable car journey with an impressive cultural themed village and easy access to the Tian Tan Buddha Statue, the world’s largest, seated, outdoor, bronze Buddha statue.
