Lumiere at ifc mall is delighted to be a stop of the “Round the World and Bach” world tour by the internationally acclaimed violinist David Juritz, who will perform in the restaurant on 12th September 2007 for one evening only. Lumiere will donate half of all dinner revenues that evening to Musequality, a music charity for children in the developing world and start-up music projects in poor areas, which David Juritz wholeheartedly supports in his “60,000-mile global busking campaign”.
Juritz has travelled to over 15 countries since June 2007 after he left the London Mozart Players, the longest established chamber orchestra in the United Kingdom. Carrying his 250-year-old violin, Juritz has been playing Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas on the streets the past four months. He aims to raise funds and awareness for the project – the Tender Talents Magnet School for AIDS orphans in Kampala, Uganda.

Juritz has recorded a CD “Round the World and Bach” with some sections of solo Bach Sonatas and Partitas. CDs are available for sale on the night and all profits will also go to Musequality.
