Hundreds of bands at hundreds of live events from June – November have been battling it out to represent their nation on the world stage. The winners from all 8 participating countries will be flown to Hong Kong for the World Final event on the 24th of November.

WORLD FINAL

What is promising to be a truly legendary and special night, the conclusion show from months of events over 8 countries in over 30 cities, the World Final will be a show not to be missed. Featuring only National champions from all 8 countries, the standard of bands will be superb.

Channel V will be the official TV Channel for the World Final with promotion and coverage across their entire Asian network.

An international panel of judges will pick the World Winner who will be winning recording and release possibilities, major publicity, music gear vouchers and much more. And some lucky band is going to win a Gibson Guitar.

qq.com will be streaming live the World Final for all the world to see and watch in real time…Anyone in or near to Hong Kong, or even those of you further away, should go see this special show live in Hong Kong.

World Final Friday 24th November @ HOT –

Level 3 East Wing New World Centre, TST

Doors open 8pm

1st Band starts 9pm

USA --- Lojic

Lojic blends together a mix of funk, rock, hip-hop, jazz, reggae, and blues. The USA final was streamed live on www.musicplustv.com

www.myspace.com/lojic

AUSTRALIA --- Meridian

Creating music that can be fragile and beautiful or dissonant and intense, Meridian have been described as 'Mike Patton having intercourse with Pink Floyd, while the Beatles and Radiohead watch on.' A very original band.

NEW ZEALAND --- SonicAltar

They say they play hard/classic rock. That with a bit of groove here and there. Think Black Sabbath meets Deep Purple meets Blue Oyster Cult meets The Datsuns. www.myspace.com/sonicaltar

PHILIPPINES --- Queso

The public text voted or voted on-line for their favorite band as well as a live competition. Queso already have gained a large following. The group is widely-considered as the most innovative act to come out of local music’s rock scene. www.quesopilipinas.com

HONG KONG --- The Train

‘THE TRAIN’ is 3 men rock band in Hong Kong in Punk and Brit Pop style. Influenced by The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Hot Heat, Kasabian, & Ramones…the whole raw punk plus some cool new stuff of nowadays. www.myspace.com/thetrainhk

SINGAPORE --- Flybar

Hong Kong will be welcoming FLYBAR at the world final after they knocked out their competition at the Singapore National Final. Flybar have catchy songs, and a crowd appealing live set. A little bit of Oasis and a little of various other mixes. www.flybartheband.com

TAIWAN --- Pablo Honey

This 5-person band consists of mainly students and amateurs in the music industry. Their overall performance is very professional and they cast some sort of magic spell to charm audiences as they stand out above the rest. They fuse pop rock with great melody lines and hooks. Footage of their national final set can be seen at http://www.falomi.biz/landmusic/wbob.htm

CHINA --- Ling Yi (01)

With a mixture of performance and events streamed LIVE on www.qq.com (QQ is Chinas most popular free and instant messaging computer program - like Yahoo.com - in Mainland China, estimated 150 million users). Ling Yi (01) pulled out all the stops to play a raucous, rocking show and won a place at the world final. Think Chinese Slipknot …
