Scottish rock sensation Travis is set to storm the stage of AsiaWorld-Arena on Thursday, 31 July 2008 with a one-night only first-time ever live performance – Travis Live in Hong Kong 2008. Expect a flawless performance with the band performing songs from the latest album The boys with no name, as well as classic, memorable tunes such as “Why does it always rain on me” , “sing” and “Turn”.
Four friends from Glasgow: lead singer Fran Healy, guitarist Andy Dunlop, bassist Dougie Payne and drummer Neil Primrose. Together they formed Travis – a band which Chris Martin admitted to have "invented" Coldplay. Together they have sold millions of albums worldwide. Together they won the Brit Awards "Best British Group" twice. Together they will rock music fans in Hong Kong this summer.
After the release of 12 Memories in 2003, the Glaswegian quartet went into a hiatus. The long-awaited fifth album The Boy With No Name was released in 2007 to critical acclaim. The album is an amazing collection of bittersweet songs that are Travis's forte. First single “Closer” is filled with the warmth of love whereas Selfish Jean is a barbed song about broken friendships. Other delights from the album include the catchy “My Eyes”, which is classic Travis with a joyful chorus.
