The Cavern (Shop 1, 55 D’Aguilar Street, Central. Tel: 2121 8969) re-opens its doors on February 24, 2006, with a brand new look and a brand new beat. Customers can look forward to non stop live music; from unplugged to full volume. Chill out with everyone’s favorite live band, The Bones, every night starting with unplugged music at 8pm. (730pm on Sundays). From 11pm, they will rev up to full volume till late night. Sundays will be split jam from 1030pm. The interior had been expanded thereby accommodating more people. Walk in to see more high tables and chairs and also a larger dance area separated by a counter with eye-catching white arches that stretch up from the countertops. A new enclave is found on the right – walk a few steps up and look behind blue curtains to find another new bar featured under some exquisitely illuminated red acrylic rod lamps that protrude from mirrored discs on the ceiling. This is a more exclusive area with cozy bench seats. A variety of beverages are available including: Martins, Champagne Cocktails, Wines, Bottled Spirits and Beers. Of course there are also plenty of snacks to munch on. Try the Spinach, Chesse and Artichoke Dip with Grilled Bread ($68), Bruschetta with Buffalo Mozzarella, Basil, Tomatoes and Parma Ham ($68), Nachos with melted Cheese, Olives, Jalapenos and Sour Cream ($55), just to mention a few.
