A taste of the American South returns to Stormies, one of Lan Kwai Fong’s quintessential meeting landmarks and where you can enjoy the freshest ocean catches in the midst of Central.
Launching with a Mardi Gras night on Saturday, 19 January from 7pm where there will be a vibrant jazz band on hand to entertain everyone, the Tastes of New Orleans menu features appetizers such as Deep-fried crocodile bites with remoulade, Popcorn shrimp with marinara dipping, Louisiana bugs (Boiled crawfish), fresh US oysters and N’awlins’ Trio (sample pf crocodile bites, popcorn shrimps and crawfish).

For main courses, experience exotic Crocodile stew, Papp’s Andouille gumbo, Blackened chicken Alfredo, Crawfish Etouffee and Mississippi Delta fried crawfish. With desserts, don’t pass up on traditional favourites such as Banana cream pie, Aunt Suzie’s Butterscotch pie and Grandma’s pecan pie. Stormie’s is also serving Po’ boys, the favourite submarine sandwich of Louisiana. A variety of fillings are available, including deep-fried coastal shrimps, fried catfish and blackened Cajun chicken breast. Alternatively, try Foccacia Muffaletta, the Italian New Orleans favourite (herb foccaccia bread with salami, ham, mortadella, provolone cheese and homemade olive salad). Offering a full range of drinks and classic cocktails throughout the day, Stormies also serves up special classic Southern cocktails like The Sazerac (Whiskey, Absinthe, sugar and bitters), Hurricane (Rum, passionfruit and orange juice, lime and Grenandine) and Mint Julep.
