To warm up this winter season, Coyote bar & grill in Wanchai is firing up the grill and introducing the Famous Brazilian Barbeque – ‘Churrassco’ for the whole month of February until March 16.
Churrassco (shoo - rás - ko) has been a culinary tradition for more than three centuries in Rio Grande do Sul (Southern Brazil) and has since become the national dish. In the olden days, “Gaúchos” (Southern Brazilian cowboys) pierced large pieces of meat and slowly roasted them over open flamed pits, while talking about their adventures on the plains.
At Coyote, each customer will get his own long skewer of select cuts of meat or seafood, slow-roasted over an open fire to eat or share with friends and family. The Brazilian Barbeque 2-Course Dinner will be offered for $175 (for all 4 choices!).
Each barbeque dinner begins with a choice of Traditional Chicken and Rice Soup or a Brazilian ‘Hearts of Palm’ Salad. For the main course, a choice of four different Barbeque options is served with generous portions of traditional Coconut Rice and Smoky Beans.
The four Brazilian Barbeque Options include:
Alcatra – Slow-cooked Beef Sirloin
Cordeiro – Marinated Lamb Chops
Frango – Herbed Whole Baby Chicken
Frutos Do Mar – Fish, Prawn, Scallops and Squid
For dessert, you can complete the Brazilian experience with a slice of Key Lime Pie or Caramel Flan for an additional $42.
From the bar, as would be expected, Coyote will be mixing up the Brazilian National Drink – the ‘Caipirinha’ for $44 all month. This lime-infused cocktail is made with a healthy dose of the infamous ‘Cachaça’ Rum from Brazil, a touch of brown sugar and served on the rocks.
Come to Coyote bar & grill, in May and experience the Brazilian Gaúcho tradition!
