Hong Kong’s stylish H one at ifc is celebrating the festive season in style with a memorable line up of fine gastronomic menus for the Christmas season and a glamorous New Year’s Eve event that is set to be the talk of the town.

A gourmet ‘Christmas Lunch Tasting Menu’ available from December 15-24 kicks-off the festive season at this exclusive Harlan G restaurant with spectacular views of the harbour and the Hong Kong skyline, priced at HK$388 per person.

Christmas Eve dinner is a five-course extravaganza, priced at HK$988, which starts with Wood-smoked Balik Salmon, with organic egg and caviar pancake, followed by pheasant and foie gras pastry. Hand-crafted tagliatelle with Maine lobster in crab sauce follows, before main course options of either Traditional slow-cooked Christmas turkey and trimmings, or charcoal-grilled Super Prime Rib Eye of Beef.  The dinner is completed with Christmas Dessert Surprise, coffee or tea, panatone and cookies.

On Christmas Day itself, a special festive lunchtime buffet is priced at HK$468 for adults and HK$288 for children, and includes Santa Claus entertaining the kids and presenting gifts. For Christmas Eve Dinner, guests can opt for either the Christmas Dinner Tasting Menu, the Kid’s Christmas Menu or regular a la carte selections.

Both lunch buffets serve a mouth-watering selection of International cuisines utilizing the finest quality ingredients from around the globe to offer something for all.

The vast selection of appetizers includes Freshly shucked oysters, Hickory Wood Smoked Scottish Salmon, Australian Tiger Prawns, Assorted Japanese Style Sushi Rolls and 36 Month Aged Parma Ham for which H one has become renowned as well as numerous seasonal terrines, pates and cheeses. 

The main courses offer even more delights for the family with a Carvery of Prime American Beef and Yorkshire pudding, Traditional Christmas Turkey with all the trimmings, Wood Stone Baked Wild Sea-bass and assorted kebabs and curries.  Guests with a sweet tooth are not forgotten and leaving some room for the final course is highly recommended for the delectable selection of desserts ranging from the traditional Christmas Pudding to Exotic Fruit Platters.

To kick off 2008 with style, the New Year’s Eve ‘Fantasy Night’ is an all-night revelry including a sit-down dinner accompanied by live music from Junior Carpio, elaborate decorations and costumes, a prime harbourside view of the fireworks and dancing till dawn – all priced at  HK$1,888 per person for the whole evening of entertainment.

About Harlan G

New Yorker Harlan G was formerly executive chef at the exclusive Aberdeen Marina Club, where the dining room was ultimately named after him. His career in the United States, Europe and Asia has included experience at several Michelin starred restaurants.

His original, flagship restaurant is Harlan’s at ifc, Central. He subsequently opened Tuscany by H in Lan Kwai Fong, serving traditional Italian cuisine in a Tuscan farmhouse setting, and the exclusive private dining room Private H, with a clientele of A-list invitees only.
