Festive Season at ZUMA in The Landmark

Ultra-fashionable Zuma, London’s award winning Japanese restaurant and bar at The Landmark, is serving family-style festive season dinners throughout December as well as on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Zuma will also be hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner and party to welcome 2008.

With a sophisticated twist on izakaya style informal eating and drinking, Zuma’s family-style festive dinner, with dishes designed for sharing, is served throughout December at HK$890 per person.

This festive dinner featuring 15 dishes is highlighted by teriyaki-marinated duck breast, striped jack sashimi, pork and chicken dumplings, premium seafood sashimi, Wagyu beef short-ribs, black cod, lamb chops, Hokkaido scallops and a dessert platter.

The Christmas Eve & Christmas Day festive menu is priced at HK$1,280 per person, and offers dishes perfect for celebrating the Christmas holiday.

On New Year’s Eve, Zuma’s enticing menu including a welcome drink and celebration at the bar, is priced at HK$1,688 per person.  Menu highlights include steamed monkfish liver, mantis shrimp, teriyaki-marinated duck breast, Wagyu beef, Kumamoto oysters, premium sashimi, amaebi and oscietre caviar, miso-marinated foie gras, grilled baby lobster and a ‘to die for’ dessert platter.

From 9.30pm onwards, the lounge with a featured DJ serves a cocktail menu for groups to share, priced at $1,088 per person excluding drinks.

On New Year’s Eve, Zuma’s 6th floor semi-private room is also available for booking a party for up to 25 persons, with a cocktail menu at HK$1,088 per person, excluding beverages, and a room charge of HK$25,000.

Award-winning chef and co-founder Rainer Becker has introduced a completely new take on Japanese dining with Zuma in Hong Kong.

The 10,000 square foot restaurant on level 5 of The Landmark features three dramatic open kitchens, with an option for outdoor dining on an exclusive terrace.

Dishes are authentic but not traditional, with an emphasis on simple presentation and flavour through quality ingredients.

A place to see and be seen, Zuma’s lounge and bar on level 6 is the venue for pre-dinner champagne and cocktails till late night with featured DJs.

Zuma’s drinks menu includes the signature Rubabu cocktail, a unique blend of Rhubarb infused sake shaken with Ketel One Vodka and fresh passion fruit. Must-trys on the cocktail list also include the Zuma Bellini and the Cherry Blossom Bellini.

A resident Sake Kikizakeshi serves premium sake by the glass, including Zuma’s own label- designed specifically to compliment Zuma dishes.

With a wine cellar of over 2,000 bottles, and 10 vintage wines served by the glass, guests are able to sample the finest selection from around the world.

“The sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere is a huge part of Zuma,” comments Rainer Becker, “with delicious, freshly prepared food in a unique, relaxed but uber-chic location.”

Rainer Becker and the Waney family launched the original Zuma in 2002 in the hip Knightsbridge district of London, where it has fast become one of London’s most desirable and fashionable restaurants.
