Lavish menus are being served against a backdrop of spectacular fireworks to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Handover on July 1 at Harlan G’s trio of chic restaurants The Box, H one and G Bar, which together have Hong Kong’s most dramatic harbour-side terrace on the podium of ifc mall.

With a grandstand view of the pyrotechnics, guests at the stellar 11,000 square foot three in one venue can celebrate with the ‘ultimate dining experience' at H one or dine in style with a vast gourmet ‘Handover Menu’ buffet at The Box.

H one’s ‘ultimate’ menu features fashionable, international fare ranging from signature grills to authentic Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. A brigade of 35 chefs serves a dazzling menu of global tastes employing a French rotisserie, wood stone oven, the big Tuscan charcoal grill and Tandoori ovens.

Popular signature specialties include Italian “Cioppino” Seafood Soup (HK$138), Parma Ham-wrapped Burrata Mozzarella (HK$178), Herb Roasted Dutch Veal with Crispy Prawns (HK$138), Mediterranean Red Prawns Spaghetti (HK$278), Slow Cooked Herb Crusted Lamb Rib (HK$290) and Charcoal Grilled Baby Spring Chicken (HK$198). Its wine cellar is arguably the most superb of any privately owned restaurant group in the city.

Next door, The Box with floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlooking Victoria Harbour and its own outdoor terrace is serving the giant ‘Handover Menu’ evening buffet priced at HK$328+10% service charge.

Catering for all tastes and appetites, the spread includes starters of fresh oysters and prawns, salmon, soya chicken & jellyfish, Parma ham, tomato & mozzarella, sushi, prawn cakes, Japanese octopus, fish & chips, sausages, cheeses, Italian seafood, and a variety of salads and soups.

Main courses range from a roast beef carvery with Yorkshire puddings to English sausages, veal, lamb, pork, stir-fried garoupa, braised E-Fu noodle, rotisserie spring chicken and lamb curry.

Desserts extend from mango pudding and chilled sago to chocolate truffle, cheesecake, tiramisu, chestnut cake, bread and butter pudding, fruit tarts and fresh fruit.

After the fireworks display, guests can end the memorable evening at G Bar, a chic New York-style lounge bar wedged between the two restaurants with a lavish drinks menu, gourmet tapas snacks, private collection of caviar and nightly beats spun by a resident DJ.

The “ultimate lounge bar” offers similarly breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour from both the spectacular comfort of its ‘glass cube’ design, or from outdoor seating on the spacious terrace.

About Harlan G

His original, flagship restaurant is Harlan’s at ifc, Central. He subsequently opened Tuscany by H in Lan Kwai Fong, serving traditional Italian cuisine in a Tuscan farmhouse setting, and the exclusive private dining room Private H, with a clientele of A-list invitees only.

The Harlan brand’s most ambitious project to date is the three-venue concept at ifc incorporating H one, G Bar and The Box.
