Chef Hiroyuki Ito of Kaetsu, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong will be presenting an exquisite menu featuring Saga beef and fine seasonal ingredients from the Saga region. Located in northern part of Kyushu Island in Japan, Saga region is known for its mild climate, as well as pure water and air. Owing to the rich natural surroundings and tight quality control, Saga is home to a variety of quality natural produce with unique tastes. Saga beef is renowned for its flavourful rich sweet taste and perfect marbling, and is recognised as one of the best beef in Japan. Saga hot spring tofu, is especially soft and creamy, retaining the natural sweet taste of soy beans. Other premium produce from Saga region include strawberries, seaweed, cabbage, eggplant and mandarin. Chef Ito’s new creations include Saga beef with strawberries and mashed turnip in vinegar sauce; Grilled rice ball with Saga beef and vegetables; Boiled beancurd in hot spring water with warm vegetables salad and mandarin vinegar sauce; Stone-grilled Saga beef with sea salt; Saga strawberries and beancurd cream roll, etc...
