Lan Kwai Fong Julyfest - Beer & Food Festival Sat 28th - Sun 29th July, 2007, 1pm till late Summer is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with international beers and food in the streets of Lan Kwai Fong. Come rain or shine, nothing will stop the party people as they get down to live music, win prizes in eating & drinking competitions and follow the parade around the streets in the third edition of Julyfest, the Lan Kwai Fong Beer & Food Festival presented by Goldlion. To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Handover, there will be a China theme at this year's event, including contorting women balancing all sorts of things on their appendages, traditional folk dancers, face changers etc. Catch all these and more at one time in the Parade presented by Sino Group and The Centrium, which will take place at 4pm & 8pm on each day. Other attractions include live performances by a strolling jazz band and up-and-coming musicians, so you can hear them just before they hit the big-time. The Miss Julyfest pageant will find the most popular promotional girl out of all the beer brands, while the drinking and eating competitions hosted by Carlsberg and Tabasco respectively will reward the best 'consumers'. To go with the wide range of beers on offer will be international food from participating restaurants, and a selection of wines from around the world for those who don't appreciate the barley-juice. This is a great opportunity to sample everything Lan Kwai Fong has to offer at a very reasonable price. There will be a press conference on Wednesday 18th July at 3.30pm in The Cavern in Lan Kwai Fong as a sneak preview of the event. Special guests will include Dr. Allan Zeman and actress Miss.
