Food that is “right across the board” brings a combination of the wealth of produce and traditional European cooking with modern thinking filtered through. London has earned a reputation as being one of the gastronomic capitals of the world and Avenue was the first to bring that class of cooking to Hong Kong. Whatever you call this cuisine, it’s in great shape. Hong Kong diners are in for a gastronomic delight with luscious lunches and delicious dinners in an environment that is quite simply, the best of the Modern World. Avenue is the place to “see and be seen” in Tsim Sha Tsui. Avenue’s 5,900 square foot interior is crisp and contemporary in its overall effect. The main attraction of Avenue is the generous open space planning with white washed walls and white reconstituted marble tile flooring, dramatically accented with unusually large and colourful abstract paintings by renowned Finnish artist Soile Yli Mayry and the murals of local artist Patrick Walls. The oval bar at the centre of the restaurant creates a focal point with spacious surrounding dining areas, providing ample opportunities for people watching. Mayry’s vibrant paintings are juxtaposed against two large glass walls overlooking the neon of both Nathan and Mody Road, creating dramatic mood lighting and reflections within the interior. This makes it possible for guests to enjoy the shining stars both inside and outside of Avenue. --------------------------------------------------
