Hong Kong’s ‘ultimate dining experience' H one has undergone a major renovation reinforcing its position as one of Hong Kong’s most prestigious restaurants, located at ifc mall in Central. The new look for the chic, contemporary restaurant opens up the dining areas, allowing more flexibility and light to inject a “new freshness and energy”, said Eric Ting, Managing Director of the multi-concept destination that also includes G Bar and The Box. Brilliant turquoise blue silk wall paneling has created a cool but warm and inviting ambience. The turquoise theme flows through the new reception to the chef’s table dining area, featuring an exceptional painting by renowned artist Richard Winkworth. New amber silk wall lamps and detailed sky blue velvet sofas also breathe new life into the chef’s table. The Harbour dining room features rich chocolate silk sliding panels framing staggering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. Another new highlight is the Wine Room adjacent to reception, encouraging customers to select vintages directly from one of Hong Kong’s largest and finest wine cellars. It stores vintage premier crux Bordeaux including Petrus, premium Champagnes and Sauternes, and a special collection of vintages all rated 100 points by Robert Parker, as well as boutique wines from Italy, the United States, France, New Zealand, Germany, Australia and Chile. H one’s top customers are also able to store some of their own favourite fine wines in the cellar. The Garden room is also transformed, opened up to attract larger parties, with softened light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a palette of charcoal grey, black and gold, with rich and playful gold leaf design carpets. The main restaurant is meanwhile “more intimate, fun and a little surprising, particularly appealing when viewed from the garden,” said Mr Ting. H one continues to focus on fashionable Italian cuisine along with fresh oysters from around the world, charcoal grilled super prime steaks, a vast variety of imported artisan products, including rotisserie style Italian pig and Florentine Beef steak, hand-made pastas and risottos. The ultra-fashionable contemporary venue of 11,000 square feet boasts breathtaking harbour views with seating for 130 and four private themed rooms of different concepts.
