New Year Celebratory Menu at OPIA Quality Ingredients Sourced from Around the World Award-winning OPIA, the chic restaurant at the boutique hotel JIA Hong Kong in Causeway Bay, is welcoming the New Year with a gastronomic ‘Celebratory Menu’ served from January 8 to the end of February. Executive chef Dane Clouston presents a choice of three entrées, main courses and desserts on the fresh and light seasonal menu which has been specially priced at HK$388 + 10% service charge just for the Western and Lunar New Year periods. Introduced by amuse-bouche, “Japanese-inspired” oyster shooter, the entrée options are salmon ravioli with avocado and salad, king fish sashimi with crème fraiche bavarois, or rare bred Kurobuta black roast pork belly with spiced plum sauce. Three main course choices are either hickory-smoked Australian wagyu beef brisket on olive oil mash with sauté mushrooms and parsley puree, miso-grilled wild catch deep sea Atlantic sea bass with pumpkin puree, or hand-cut linguini with baby Phuket crayfish, crispy lardons, parmesan and slow-cooked egg. The menu is completed with a decadent choice of desserts -- ginger juice pannacotta with roasted pineapple and lavender syrup, vanilla pavlova with orange chocolate sauce and mandarin sorbet, or lemon citrus tart with burnt meringue and shaved green apple salad.
