 Watermark, Igor’s Group’s newest restaurant located at Hong Kong Central’s Star Ferry, offers unparalleled waterfront dining next to Hong Kong most favourite landmark -- the Victoria Harbour – will open tomorrow evening (7 November) with a fundraising dinner and auction for ROSEcharities. Boasting a stunning 270 degree view of the busy crossing, the restaurant’s backdrop is a stunning vision.
An elegant stone entranceway and water feature takes you into Watermark’s sleek interior of teak, marble and glass. The 3-sided water view of the open-plan space can be utilized to full capacity, or partitioned to create an intimate dining experience. A stairway leads to an intimate dining area, which also hosts the wine collection, perched high in the 30-plus feet high space. A translucent sky-light ceiling gives the restaurant luminous, natural daylight, while the surrounding open-air deck offers the perfect view of Kowloon peninsula and ferries commuting on the water. Ideal for events and parties, the menu focuses on fresh seafood and Watermark’s very own aged steaks, which can be seen through the special cabinet as you enter into the restaurant. Igor’s Group’s Executive Chef Angelo McDonnell leads a team of skilled chef to create a modern menu of Contemporary-Continental. Highlights include the starters Foie gras parfait with gingerbread and tamarillo sofrito, Scampi ceviche on toasted cornbread, almonds and avocado salad; and main courses such as Rabbit and fig Wellington with leeks and truffle cream, Oven-roasted lamb rack with white bean cassoulet and celery root, Grilled Black Angus beef tenderloin with Wagyu beef cheek, parsnips and thyme merlot glaze, as well as Watermark’s specialty -- Grilled aged Angus rib-eye with House fries.
