Belgium Bans Outdoor Raves A rural farmer in Belgium, Michigan, who hosted well organised private weekend raves on his land for the last five years was threatened with a law suit by City authorities this week, who admitted they’re trying to outlaw parties in the area. Town officials claimed the raves could be ‘dangerous’, local TV station Today STM4 reported, with noise pollution also an issue of concern. "Neighbors complained about a deep, bass vibration,” Belgium lawyer Deb Hoffman explained, ”That noise went on all day and all night.” In more Michigan news, US police chief Police lieutenant Bruce Ferguson attracted international attention this week when he unexpectedly announced his Lainsing city police force have been preparing for imminent zombie invasion for several years. "People can feel confident, if zombies start invading, we'll know how to close the streets. We can get chainsaws too,” the police lieutenant promised, "If a swarm comes in on I-496 westbound, we'll block off the exits so they miss the city,” he added(New York Post). Chief Ferguson failed to reveal why he was so alarmed about zombies and also didn’t mention whether he’d been in touch with authorities in Canneto di Caronia, Sicily who this week announced that a series of unexplained cases of exploding mobile phones, fridges and TVs were most likely caused by aliens. Italian military experts and NASA scientists reportedly concluded that the spontaneous fires were caused by ‘non man-made’ high –power electromagnetic emissions and suggested an alien spacecraft had caused burned imprints left in a field. "We are not saying little green men from Mars started the fires,” report author and Sicialian Protection chief Francesco Mantegna Venerando stressed, “But that unnatural forces capable of creating a large amount of electromagnetic energy were responsible.” (Ananova). Mr Venerando alternatively hypothesized that ‘unknown powers’ could be testing top-secret weapons in the area though didn’t appear to consider the infamous suspected alien landing case in Christinesti, Eastern Romania in 2004. Terrified villagers fled en masse after seeing flashing lights they took to be a spaceship, before learning that the light show was in reality provided for an outdoor rave. “We believed we were seeing UFOs and some old legends from around here about clocks stopping, animals going crazy and a previous UFO landing in the area suddenly came to our minds,” Costel Roman explained. "We were so happy when we heard we had escaped an alien invasion,” he added. Article by Jonty Skrufff
