Friday October 28th 2005 @ SAT (Societe des Arts Technologiques) 1195 St. Laurent, Montreal, Canada
Opening in 1998 with the simple concept of promoting quality events in innovative and original settings, NEON has grown into one of the biggest and most well attended club nights in Montreal Canada. Doing away with the traditional night club look and feel (i.e. lasers and smoke machines), and integrating interior and graphic design, along with mood lighting and performance art, the continuously adapting and transforming NEON team has realized the formula for success. Outlasting the majority of their major competitors NEON is constantly changing to maintain their position at the forefront of the latest musical trends and to integrate the new sounds being developed into each of their shows. NEON organizes approximately ten events per year and holds the majority of their organized productions at the SAT (Societe des Arts Technologiques). The past years have seen countless big name artists with the likes of Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Chromeo, Richie Hawtin, Tiga, Jesper Dahlback, DJ Hell, Vive La Fete, etc., gracing the stage here in Montreal. On October 28th, 2005 NEON will host an “I Love Neon” Halloween party: “Let’s Get Physical” with DJ T (Get Physical Music) from Berlin, Plastique De Reve (Gigolo & Turbo Records) from Switzerland, and local Montreal nu-wave electro synth-pop Cut Throat Republic doing a LIVE performance. This one is not to be missed!! Slowly gaining in popularity NEON is becoming a global movement and gaining momentum every day with requests to go on tour with the NEON “look and feel” to cities such as New York, Miami, and Toronto and in countries such as Spain, Italy and Germany. Who knows, maybe the next stop on the global map will land a NEON event in Hong Kong!
