Jonty Skrufff, the owner of Skrufff, UK's famous source of Electronic music news and information and who is also a contibutor to HKClubbing has now launched himself on MinistryofSound.com spread his electro vibe to the world!
Jonty Skrufff: Biography
DJing at leading underground clubs including Golf Sale, Electrogogo and Drama, Jonty Skrufff has recently joined London’s thriving electro (clash) DJ circuit, spinning hi-energy pumping dance music that combines the best of old and new electro-disco.
Drawing from his own experiences as one of New York’s prototype cross-dressing club kids of the 80s and a life spent totally in club-land, the nowadays London based DJ/ journalist also founded and continues to run Skrufff-E, the hugely influential e-zine which has championed and helped establish electro-disco internationally.
Read by everybody from Boy George (‘It’s good to share wit and alternative views with like-minded people, love it all’) to Peaches (keep it cummi’) to DH Hell (‘a great newsletter with great links and great information’) Skrufff-E is at the heart of today’s post house alternative club scene, where dressing up and song based dance music matter more than faceless DJs or 15 minute seamless mixes.
As well as DJing in London clubs, Jonty’s recently teamed up with Ministry Of Sound to provide monthly mixes for their hugely popular radio station.
“We’re delighted to have Jonty onboard because we love the Skrufff e-zines and also because none of the other DJs on the station plays the style of music he selects,” says Ministry’s radio manager Robert Sharp.
“The listeners like it too, when we broadcast his sets, the audience increases.”

Getting more and more popular all over the world, particularly with DJs, this excellent and informative e-zine is full of politics, drugs, music and sex. Take a look.

Skrufff is where you get the inside track on our industry, without being tacky and questionable when it comes to the truth. An impartial commentator and true believer in club culture, long may it continue.
