Neo-Nazi’s Ruin Prague Tram Party Organisers of Prague’s notoriously wild party-in-a-tram Tramix parties were forced to cancel their upcoming event at the 11th hour this week, after city authorities decided they couldn’t guarantee order for this weekend’s planned event. “TRAMix on Saturday 10th November is cancelled due to an announced massive Neo-nazi demonstration in Prague. Over 6000 nazi supporters from Europe are expected,” the party promoters explained in a statement. “TRAMix, had to be cancelled due to serious security reasons. The TRAMix production team had been warned by the Public Transport company (Dopravni podnik) that the transport situation in Prague may be very difficult on Saturday 10th November, due to expected fights between neo-nazis, anarchists, and police squads. Security has always been a number one priority for TRAMix and therefore we decided to cancel this Saturday's event, and offer a different, more peaceful date, when people will be able to enjoy a ride on board of a tram car equipped with sound system, special light effects, mobile bar units and lots of friendly people, and dance through the city of Prague, without fear,” they explained. Event organizer Michal told Skrufff he was sad and disappointed by the enforced cancellation. “Everything was ready, we were completely sold out,” said Michal. “People are really upset.” http://www.tramix.cz Article by Jonty Skrufff
