Since 2002, with the opening of the very first Diesel store in Spain (on Barcelona’s Paseo de Gracia), the Italian brand’s retail expansion in the Iberian territory has been followed by a series of opening in Madrid, Valencia, a second one in Barcelona, Lisbon, Bilbao.
Today, two years after the premiere of the Diesel Store on Calle Fuencarral, Madrid has come back for more.
Right in the heart of the Salamanca district, Diesel surprises with a new upgrade in stores. Its 200 sqm over a single floor, the use of different textures on the walls to separate spaces and products (paper, teak, open brickwork, mosaic, etc.), 1960’s furniture blended with rugs and railway sleepers on the ‘denim wall’ and the superb handcrafted lamp that dominates the store create a highly exclusive space.
But it is not just the space and the decor that make the new Diesel Store special. The selection of products and the way that they are displayed complete the sensation. Its men’s and women’s collections, an extensive range of denim, underwear and swimwear, shoes, watches, glasses and all kinds of accessories open up the Diesel world to us in a new way.
The official store opening has been celebrated last April 28th with the crazy “Festival de amanhã” party (based on the theme of Diesel’s SS05 collection) for over 1,000 guests at Florida Park – Parque del Retiro. A parterre of Spanish celebrities (actors Santi Millán, Eloy Azorín and Paco León, among others) and top editors enjoyed the performance of crooner Louis Austen.
