Followed by a risqué retreat at JIA Hong Kong

Valentine’s Day is being celebrated with a ‘Saucy Surrender’ at OPIA, the fashionable award-winning restaurant at JIA Hong Kong in Causeway Bay.

It can also be twinned with Hong Kong’s most risqué overnight package being offered for the romantic occasion.

The 6-course dinner-for-two at chic OPIA, which has been voted Hong Kong’s ‘Restaurant of the Year’, is priced at HK$895 plus 10%.

Guests are greeted with a celebratory glass of Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne and aphrodisiac of three Tasmanian oysters.

Taste buds are next tantalised with a sparkling champagne sorbet and peppered mango salad.

The sensual menu continues with a choice of seared foie gras with caviar, passion fruit cream and baby basil served with iced vodka, or creamy crustacean broth with Dungeness crab tortellini, Boston lobster and roasted Hakkaido scallop infused with spiced vodka.

Third course is a sublime white truffle pot de crème with crispy back pepper and potato.

Main course options are either coco butter-roasted venison chop with marinated butternut pumpkin pistachio nuts, bitter chocolate sorbet and sticky Frangelico
cherries, or olive oil-poached sea trout with fresh chive crust-oyster and cream fraiche potato, beetroot jam and vodka jelly.

Sensual dessert choices are either cinnamon doughnuts with a chilli chocolate ganache centre, orange marmalade-potted strawberries and double cream, or Lady Finger banana tart with double chocolate and black pepper ice cream, baby basil, wild honey, vanilla cream and rose petals.

The romantic dinner is completed with white chocolate and champagne truffles.

For the ultimate Valentine’s, guests can stay overnight at JIA on the ‘Saucy Surrender’ accommodation package specially designed for romance.

With accommodation in a suite or penthouse suite, it promises a night to remember with a tray of six oyster shooters or six fresh oysters served on arrival, along with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne and bouquet of long stemmed roses.

Couples can get into the mood browsing through erotic photography with complimentary copies of Lorenzo’s twin volumes on The Human Form. Body butter is provided for mutual foot massage or sensual amusement.

Guest awake to an “arousing” morning-after breakfast hamper, and leave with a voucher for a pole-dancing lesson by Pole Divas!

The package is priced at HK$5,550 for two for the night in a Studio, or HK$9,999 in a Penthouse, where guests receive additional treats of breakfast served in bed, plus a unique red-leather ‘Proposal Box’ from the luxury lifestyle store Kou.

Six drawers of the box, opened from top to bottom, each contain surprise delights - a chocolate coated cherry, a G-string, bottle of sensual essential oil, aromatic candle, risqué red or virginal white satin ribbons, and ultimately a love note at the end -- to propose marriage or a partnership.

Designed by French design guru Philippe Starck, JIA Hong Kong is renowned as one of Hong Kong’s hippest places to see and be seen.

JIA was the only Hong Kong hotel listed on the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler ‘Hot List 2006’ of the world’s top new hotels. London’s Independent newspaper voted it one of the five best boutique hotels in Greater China.

OPIA, the hotel’s chic signature restaurant and lounge, was voted Best Restaurant in the South China Morning Post/Harper’s Bazaar Style Awards 2006. OPIA was voted runner-up ‘Best New Restaurant’ in Wallpaper magazine’s Judges Award  2006 and was  also named among Condé Nast Traveler’s ‘Hot Tables 2006’, their annual listing of the world’s best new places to dine.

JIA also offers special access to KEE private members' club as well as access to the VIP section and 10% dining discounts at Dragon-I, which allows guests to enjoy a privileged Hong Kong lifestyle during their stay.  Guests also enjoy complimentary use of the nearby California Fitness gym.
