Moët & Chandon presents the “Gold Vintage Panton Chair” to celebrate the launch of Grand Vintage 2000, its first Grand Vintage series of the millennium.

The iconic Panton Chair was created by Verner Panton in 1960.  Breathtakingly new in its time, it has today become a classic, one of the most celebrated design objects in the world.  To honour the Grand Vintage 2000, and in collaboration with Vitra, Moët & Chandon has created an exclusive, limited edition Gold Vintage Panton Chair. Gilded, numbered and signed ‘Moët & Chandon’, it is an extraordinary object of desire. Like the Grand Vintage 2000, the chair is an ultra-modern incarnation of Moët & Chandon’s creative culture and passion for perfection.

The Chairs can be used to create many special moments to express different aspects of the Moët & Chandon lifestyle, be it a moment of quiet self accomplishment, a seductive dinner for two with a private chef, a relaxed celebration with friends, even a party in an unexpected location.  The possibilities are limitless and the experience enhanced by the elegance of Moët & Chandon’s Grand Vintage 2000.

The new Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2000 was recently launched in Hong Kong with an intimate “ephemeral dinner” staged for a group of Hong Kong VIPs at the exclusive Kou Concepts, using the twelve Gold Vintage Panton Chairs. A popup restaurant was created from nowhere, giving guests a unique and surprising experience.

Only 250 limited edition iconic Gold Vintage Panton Chairs are available internationally of which just twelve are available exclusively in Hong Kong.  The chairs are now on sale individually, as a pair, or in any number up to twelve, and each comes with a bottle of 6L Mathusalem Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2000, for HKD20,000.

“Certain great objects are like very great wines: they are perfectly of their time, but remain unforgettable,” said Benoît Gouez , Chef de Cave at Moët & Chandon.

With its Grand Vintage 2000, Moët & Chandon has created a wine that is assertive and intriguing, radiant and impertinent, one that will entice enthusiasts who seek sensations of complexity and precision.

The Grand Vintage 2000 and Grand Vintage Rosé 2000 are now available at leading Hong Kong retailers and at the city’s top bars and restaurants, priced at HK$568 for the Grand Vintage 2000 and HK$598 for the Grand Vintage 2000 Rosé.
