Sentiments, Multimedia Exhibition by RMIT Graduates, Apr 4 – May 15, 07
Opening Reception: Apr 12(thu), 630-830pm

We are dealing with sentiments everyday. We have different sentiments towards various people, various objects, and even various views of ourselves. This exhibition features the contemporary works of a group of local artists to express their own sentiment. The journey begins with the exploration of their inner feelings, their curiosity towards one’s privacy, attractive and repulsive objects, and end with the exploration of one’s own meaning of life. Come and be sentimental!

The group of young artists graduated from the RMIT Melbourne, studying Fine Arts specializing in Painting. They have different background but a common seriousness of attitude towards making of arts.

Video and Photography:
Laurence Tse adopts video art as the main media of his work. He expresses his idea of the cycle of day and night through video and photography.

Paintings:
Coco Tsui expresses her obsession with pattern, geometric forms, bold color and layering.
Kirsty Chau explores the psychological aspect of people, by inborn instincts of passive aggression and sudden withdrawal.
Kittie Yan explores one’s endless pursuit to achieve higher and higher targets.
Rosita Chung preserves and de-preserves her stories to emphasize their preciousness.
Yuen Yuen Ho shares her view of her place of origin and generation through the daily disposed objects.
