1Management, the Amsterdam based agency behind the succesfull Sneakerz parties, is now launching a new concept called ‘Sneakerz Muzik’, consisting of a record label (in cooperation with Spinnin) and club nights throughout the Netherlands (organised by Party Planners). Sneakerz Muzik is entirely focusing on a new generation of Dutch producers, which the Netherlands is blessed with at the moment. SNEAKERZ The Sneakerz parties were evolved out of the idea where new DJ talents should get a chance in the dance scene with help from influential leaders in the industry. Sneakerz is all about connecting the biggest names in the house scene with young upcoming talents. Thanks to this approach, numerous gifted deejays have experienced their professional breakthrough the last four years. Supported by artists such as Erick E and Lucien Foort, relative unknown deejays bloomed into heavyweights in the game, like one of the innovators of Sneakerz, Fedde le Grand. SNEAKERZ MUZIK – the label In the spirit of ‘Sneakerz’, ‘Sneakerz Muzik’ is prolonging this philosophy and is taking it one step further. The Dutch dance collective is of opinion that the youngest generation of house producers is still not getting the attention they need and deserve. Therefore, Sneakerz Muzik is offering them a platform, by affording the possibility of releasing tracks on the new Sneakerz Muzik label. This label is a collaboration between 1Management and Spinnin, the biggest independent dance record company in the Netherlands. Artists among others Youri Donatz, Skitzofrenix, Groovenatics, Madskillz, Funkerman, Baggi Begovic and Philip Young will release own productions or remixes on the new label in 2007. The first track that can be expected is ‘That Chicago Song!’ by Youri Donatz, which has appeared recently on the well known German compilation CD: ‘Top of de Clubs’ vol. 33, by Kontor Records. SNEAKERZ MUZIK – the parties Besides the label activities, there will be Sneakerz Muzik parties in various clubs across the country. ‘De Rechter’ in Eindhoven has already signed up for the parties, negotiations with ‘Studio 80’ in Amsterdam are in progress. Currently Sneakerz Muzik is looking for the more alternative stages in the Netherlands, such as ‘Patronaat’ in Haarlem and ‘013’ in Tilburg. In the summer time, there will also be events on the beach. The main goal of these parties is to expand the exposure of the Sneakerz Muzik artists. The visitors will only pay a moderate entrance fee (€5 or €10), despite of the fact that the parties will take place on prime time data (on Saturdays and during the holidays). Sneakerz Muzik is aiming at establishing about 40 parties in 2007. More information will follow at: www.sneakerzmuzik.nl. (information provided by the label)
