adidas has a distinguished tradition of Olympic sponsorship and support, from founder Adi Dassler’s first pair of sprint spikes for an Olympic athlete in 1928 to its position as an Official Supporter of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. adidas has supported the world’s top athletes and Olympians, encouraging them to improve their performance and achieve their very best. Now adidas continues this support as the Official Sportswear Partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, where it will supply sportswear for all staff, volunteers and technical officials of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. adidas will also outfit the China and Hong Kong Olympic teams for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

To celebrate the perennial sports event, adidas launched a new collection of the Beijing 2008 Licensed Products. In addition to expanding the three existing sportswear collections of the “Essential Emblem”, “Pictogram” and “Mascot”, two new product collections – “China Fan” and “Country Fan” were also introduced. The "China Fan" line features the Chinese colours of red, yellow, white and gold, while the “Country Fan” line uses the “One World One Dream” as theme to represent one’s passion for the country. As part of the Beijing Club 2008 Party, the fashion presentation took inspirations from various sporting movements and showcased adidas’ new ranges of the Beijing 2008 Official Licensed Products, including tees, track tops, caps and bags. The new products will be available at adidas Sport Performance Centre which is located at 17 Hankow Road, Tsmishatsui, in May and June 2008.
