The Lounge at OPIA, JIA boutique hotel’s chic signature restaurant, picks up the beat on Friday and Saturday nights when DJ Ivan spins the latest tunes.
The plush new late night venue’s resident DJ creates a party mood from 9 pm every Friday and Saturday night.
DJ Ivan, whose previous popular stints include Dragon-I and HeiHei Club as well as KEE private members club, starts the night with downtempo lounge during dining hours, followed by dancefloor bar groove, soul funk, nu jazz and neo soul later in the evening.
The late night energy of Causeway Bay mingles with the chic urban ambience of OPIA with a sculptural ceiling framing its 5 metre long burgundy ‘rosso lepanto’ marble bar counter. Comfortable yet stylish sunken leather sofa beds are perfect for a relaxing carefree evening, and low lying tables and leather stools also add to the vivacious mood of the Andre Fu-designed restaurant and lounge.
OPIA’s creativity shines through its extensive list of unique cocktails. Featuring cocktails with a difference, such as the OPIA Mojito, consisting of Absolut muddled with fresh strawberries and mint topped with Veuve Clicquot, Opia has already gained a reputation in the social circles for mixing some of the city’s most exceptional concoctions.
The Lounge at OPIA attracts dinner guests who have enjoyed the restaurant’s provocative “Australian free style” cuisine, created by award-winning Melbourne-based Chef Teage Ezard, as well as those looking to enjoy late night drinks and party music in a great ambience.
OPIA is open Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 3 pm for lunch with last order at 2 pm, and from Monday to Saturday from 6 pm for drinks, and dinner service from 7 pm with last order at 11 pm (Closed on Sunday and public holidays).
