Hitoshi is a fast-rising figure in the world of Japanese techno. Since 2000, Hitoshi has released a range of club tracks on global techno labels Moon Age, Frogman and Primevil, forging a reputation as one of his country's most cutting-edge up-and-coming producers, as well as a formidable DJ.
Together with his live techno outfit Newdeal, Hitoshi has appeared alongside famed Japanese techno contemporaries including Ken Ishii, and will be bringing the uncompromising sound of Japanese techno to Hong Kong for Fireball's big Easter holiday party.
Making a return to Hong Kong after his smashing set at the debut Fireball on New Year's Eve is Imai Fukutaro. The native of Japan's Kanagawa prefecture started DJing in Tokyo in the late 1990s influenced by Japanese techno godfathers Denki Groove as well as European legends Hardfloor. Fukutaro became a regular visitor to Hong Kong after the turn of the milennium and formed the pan-Asian DJ collective Intermix with top local DJ Frankie Lam. Intermix events have now been held throughout Asia, and focus on a seriously dancefloor-oriented blend of club electro, infectious techno, deep breakbeat and dirty house. Back in his home city, Fukutaro has appeared at top Tokyo clubs including Womb, Wedge and Club Asia.
