Loi Krathong in Thailand - the resplendent festival of lights. And while in Thailand this night is known for shimmering candles upon serene waters, in Hong Kong it's a bit more upbeat. In fact, Klong Bar and Grill promises a party designed to shake you to your very soul.
On 19th November, from 10pm onwards, Klong Bar and Grill starts to pump and sway with the sounds of 70's & 80's Retro Rock, as mixed by DJ Edwin. Music mutates to hip-hop and R&B at midnight. Vodka shooters are $25 all night, and Chang Beer, Thailand's finest, is the same price. Thai dancing girls will be at their poles, adding to the party atmosphere. There will also be a lucky draw. Grand prize - a trip for two to Bangkok.
Speaking of prizes, the first 50 revelers who step through the threshold will enjoy candle wishes and flower necklaces plus a complimentary shooter and Loi Krathong gift, as well as lucky draw coupons.
This November, watch the skies for the full moon. And then listen for the beat on Lockhart Road. It'll be Loi Krathong in Wanchai, but we wouldn't be surprised if they heard it all the way to Bangkok.
