Few holidays are as lovely as Loi Krathong, during which Thais honour their water spirit, Mae Kong Ka, by floating banana-leaf boats laden with candles down the river. When this unique holiday rolls around on November 27th, Klong Bar and Grill will pay the river its full due, with an unforgettable Full Moon Party.
In addition to the usual tempting Thai food, the Full Moon Party will feature a lucky draw that is lucky indeed - the winner will enjoy a three-night stay at the La Flora resort in Khao Lak.
The DJ for the night is Michael Myers (no, not Mike Myers, baby). A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one of the USA's great music cities, Michael travels the world and uplifts crowds with his enlightened sounds. As a buyer for 611 Records, he has access to records that many DJ's only dream of. Michael's studio, M&M, is in the forefront of the Philly music scene, and his 2004 Asian tour is earning him a new set of fans.
The Full Moon party starts at 10:30pm, and continues till everyone's boat is floated. All who want to petition Make Kong Ka for happiness and prosperity - and all who simply want a great night's worth of partying - are encouraged to watch for moonrise, and then head for Klong Bar and Grill.
