Shena known for her smash hit "Guilty" will be performing live on the 15th March at the Hed Kandi event at Club JJ's. Tickets are now on sale at participating outlets.
2007 was a great year for Hed Kandi in Hong Kong. With each event we saw world class DJ’s performing side by side with some of the music industry’s most in-demand club performers. The final Hed Kandi event of 2007 saw the event moving to a bigger venue namely Club JJ’s at the Grand Hyatt.
So the question is, can it get any better in 2008? …YES!
On the 15th March, Club JJ’s will once again play host to Hed Kandi, for one great night of disco and decadence.
To kick off the first Hed Kandi of the year we will be welcoming veteran Hed Kandi DJ, Andy Norman, who was part of the founding line-up of one the UK’s biggest dance record labels.
Well respected for playing numerous dance music styles over the years he has played for a number of UK recording artists too like The Pet Shop Boys & Jamiroquai to name but two.
The highlight of the evening will be a special guest appearance by Shèna, live on vocals. Shèna will be performing many of her dance hits including ‘Guilty’.
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music with Honours, Shèna has accumulated no fewer than 21 hits to her credit. The Weekend was the tune that has greatly contributed to Shèna’s International success after reaching no: 7 in the National Charts where Shèna performed it live on Top Of The Pops. It was also played very recently on an Episode of Ugly Betty and has been nominated for a Grammy!

Shèna is an artist with all the experience, drive and qualities of a Diva, but due to her unassuming, modest approach, the world is unaware of what all the fuss is about…yet! But all that is about to change!
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music with Honours, Shèna has accumulated no fewer than 21 hits to her credit and her Biog reads like something out of a movie.
However, The Weekend was the tune that has greatly contributed to Shèna’s International success after reaching no: 7 in the National Charts where Shèna performed it live on Top Of The Pops. It was also played very recently on an Episode of Ugly Betty and has been nominated for a Grammy!
As well as these hits, the list of artists that Shena has worked with, backed or vocalled for is also extremely impressive: Lisa Stansfield, Luther Vandross, Errol Brown, Angie Stone, Chaka Khan, Heather Small, Mica Paris, Kelly Le Roc, Michael Ball, Mariah Carey, Taka Boom, Denise Williams, Andy Cole, Arsenal FC, Girl’s Aloud, Sugarbabes, Roxalla, Rachel McFarlane, Inner City, Cliff Richard, Angie Stone, Martine McCutcheon, James Brown, Jimmy Nail, Rohan Keating, Lemar, Bonny Langford, Toni Da Bart, Joey Negro, Simple Minds, Belinda Carlisle, Babylon Zoo, Tina from S Club’s, Lisa Miskovsky, Vast Dakar & Grinser, The King, Maria Friedman, Lesley Garrett, Danni Minogue, Russell Watson, Tony Henry, Conner Reeves, Last four finalists of Pop Idol 2002, Lulu, Nadia Almada and three Lenny Spoofs. As a Diva in her own right, Shèna has been heralded by the likes of Martha Walsh and Jocelyn Brown as a star in the making and she regularly enjoys major success on the PA circuit. Her PA work involves appearing as a guest vocalist with the UK’s no:1 Super party organization, Salvation in which she has performed internationally as well as being booked every weekend by agencies MN2S & Mission Control. She also now has a plethora of co-writing opportunities with the Music industries finest DJ’s and Producers around and Shèna now enjoys a healthy writing career with tracks like, Don’t let the morning come, for Javine as well as, Friday Night and Electrosexual for herself and Born 2 be alone for Gut Records new signing ACIS plus four other forthcoming releases (Warren Clarke, Paolo Jackson, Starchasers, Massimo Santucci)

Now seen as the elder statesman of Hed Kandi DJ Andy Norman was part of the founding line-up of one the UK’s biggest dance record labels. He started working with label founder Mark Doyle back in 1989; around the time when they held small local club events for a number of years. It was during this period that Hed Kandi was born.
Andy worked on the London club circuit for some years, working with amongst others The Crazy Club & Black And White Productions along side the likes of Alex P, Smokin Joe & Fat Tony. Well respected for playing numerous dance music styles over the years he has played for a number of UK recording artists too like The Pet Shop Boys & Jamiroquai to name but two.
Currently part of Team Kandi and a main resident for six years now, Andy continues to grace some of the world’s greatest nightclubs across all of the continents. He’s still a part of the Kandi radio team too presenting a regular weekly show. He based his DJ style as something of a party crowd pleaser, “If you play to the ladies, you are all guaranteed to have one really great party!”
“I simply love to see people smiling and having a lot of fun”
