D-Formation is the latest in a long list of pseudonyms chosen by Dimas Carbajo, owner and label head of the Beat Freak Recordings group. With an ear for lush atmospherics and tight percussive rhythms, Dimas’ sound is the epitome of Spanish tribal progressive house. Apart from the success of own releases, Dimas’ magic touch has also been confirmed by a welter of remixing commissions and numerous requests for collaboration, including amongst others, Victor Calderone, Smokin’ Jo, Chus & Ceballos, Jocelyn Brown, and Martin L Gore of Depeche Mode. The pedigree of Beat Freak and it¹s fledgling but established sister labels Intenso Recordings, The Underground Sound of Madrid (TUSOM), and Distinto Recordings, only bears witness to the remarkable vision of this young Madrid based producer.
