Jahcoozi & The Tape Robot Koch is the producer of the critically acclaimed Jahcoozi that also consists of Sasha Perera on vocals and Oren Gerlitz on bass. Robot is also the sole mastermind behind The Tape who credits a host of talents in terms of vocal contributions and instrumental support. In 2003 Jahcoozi started playing on the Berlin underground circuit quickly gaining respect for their freaky live shows and sound which in a few words can be described as a clash of hip hop, dancehall, electronica and pop. Jahcoozi have played gigs all over Germany, Switzerland and the UK at clubs, outdoor parties and digital arts festivals. They have supported the likes of Big Dada Soundsystem, Aphex Twin, DAT Politics, Airborn Audio, Kevin Blechdom, Jamie Lidell, Tiefschwarz and Mocky. For The Tape’s second album, Autoreverse, Robot joined forces with emcee RQM. The album features punk, jazz and electronica with hip hop as the link. RQM has the gift to swiftly move between musical genres and he has blessed the same spots as Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Saul Williams.
