LUNAR : ASIAN FUSION BAR
A Cultural Movement In Music and Art

“Where old world instruments flirt with scores of modern Asia”
This September, The Cannery presents Lunar: Asian Fusion Bar at Clarke Quay. The launch of this concept bar heralds a new era for the entertainment industry by redefining “live” performance with a distinct ensemble that marries old world Asian instruments with the scores of modern orchestration. This unique genre of music creates a perfect ambience for those who desire a respite from the more conventional concept of music and entertainment, making Lunar the entertainment sanctuary.

Housed in a 15,000 square feet venue, Lunar is reminiscent of an art gallery with more than 150 pieces of contemporary Chinese pop art showcased amidst the more familiar icons of the Asian culture like goldfish lanterns and handcrafted birdcages. The visual treat is further enhanced by a backdrop of wall to ceiling hand-painted Chrysanthemums and tasteful nude art on the ceiling to tantalize one’s eyes. For those who prefer a bit of privacy, enclaves of Shanghai art décor plush and intimate lounges will offer the desired cozy comfort. For drinks, the choice is aplenty with a dedicated sake bar that has been carefully decked out to seduce even the most discerning taste buds with its wide array of concocted sake cocktails and sake martinis.

Lunar is a result of months of intricate planning and it is by no coincidence that the concept bar will feature entertainment that enters into unchartered territory here in Singapore, hence what results is a new trend for the industry, says Lifebrandz Chief Executive Officer, Clement Lee. “We understand the needs of our clients and as leaders in the industry, we do feel it is our duty to create new experiences for them. Lunar is definitely the next big thing in entertainment!”

With wait staff donned in electric red wigs and dressed in designer, China-doll inspired couture, together with a South American band and traditional Chinese musical instruments playing to modern-day Chinese music - when Lunar raises its lanterns in September, it will be the largest Asian Fusion Bar in Asia.

Operating till 6am everyday, the live entertainment concept bar sets to transport clients to a world where old Asian charm is respectfully propelled into the modern dimension with its unique brand of music, drinks and décor.

Lunar is where Asian tradition experiences a metamorphosis.
