Born in Grenoble, a medium town in the Alps, south east of France, Miss Kittin’s early years were spent in rave parties dancing to KLF, LFO, and Aphex Twin. By ’94, she played her first gig, and in the summer of ’96, she inspired DJ Hell with just a tape with 808 loops. By ’98, she was already enjoying much unexpected success with her releases (Westbam closing the Love Parade with her track in front of 1 million people) and began touring non-stop all around Europe. Since then, she has based herself in Berlin, has a residency at Sven Vath’s Cocoon club in Frankfurt, has done A&R for Mute Records Germany, has her own label “Nobody´s Bizzness”, and has taken her unique sets of minimal, deep, to kicking techno, mixed with funny leftfield tunes, classics, electro, to clubs and festivals all over the world.
