"Deeper" is the catch word for Mad Mats and Karizma, known in their genres for straight-up, no nonsense, danceable music. Coming from a hip-hop background, Karizma is one of the originators of the Baltimore club sound that stunned the music press in 2006 and culminated in the meteoric rise of the rambunctious, hi-energy, Rick Ruben produced combo, Spank Rock. Remixing everyone from Everything But The Girl, Amira, Lenny Kravitz, to Bob Sinclair and many more, it was here where Karizma developed the "deepah dubs" and "deepah ones" moniker for his renditions. Mad Mats has risen from a break dancing champ in the 1980s to DJ, producer and club impresario, running Stockholm's legendary Raw Fusion for the past 10 years. The record label of the same name continues to release essential nuggets that remain permanent fixtures in the record boxes of the most important DJs across the globe. As a DJ, he's delved into everything from retro funk, soul, jazz & latin sets at Club Neo in Tokyo, soulful house at the Southport Weekender, hip hop at Turntables At The Hudson in NYC, house & techno at Weekend Club in Madrid, and freestyle sessions at the Electric Chair in Manchester.
