James Lavelle is back to grace the decks in Zouk’s main room. Already a tastemaker and music leader in his teens, James is the key figure behind the groundbreaking Mo’Wax label and the UNKLE project. He’s collaborated with the likes of Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Mike D (Beastie Boys), Richard Ashcroft (The Verve), Ian Brown (The Stone Roses) and Alice Temple (Massive Attack. UNKLE’s upcoming release ‘The Future is Unwritten’ features guest appearances by Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Ian Astbury (The Cult), 3D (Massive Attack), Autolux and Duke Spirit, among others. With 2 best selling Global Underground compilations under his belt, James now amasses a global cult following for his vision that combines not only music but fashion and arts as well. To that end, he set up Surrender All, a new fashion, art house and record label - that will release U.N.K.L.E.’s new record, produced by Chris Goss (Queens Of The Stone Age) - as well as Surrender here in Devonshire Road.
