Students from Guangzhou & Shenzhen produce a track in under 3 hrs SHEKOU, SHENZHEN, CHINA May 19th / 20th. - Shekou International School hosts the first UK Electro Music Master class. In just 3 hours students will co produce their own track, burn it to CD, then the Drama students will use the track for their dance presentation. Running the class will be Shenzhen based UK artist The Ghost That Walks. With over 13 years experience, recording in Europe, writing for independent film and building theghostwalk.com. Detroit Techno pioneers Underground Resistance rated him as “the best of your style from your country”. “They’ll be working with Ableton Live for it’s extra speed and flexibility, plus it’s easy to learn for a beginner. I’ll guide them, but it’s a hands on course, the track will be their own work. It’s an experience they will have never had before, and it demonstrates that anyone can make music with just a good computer and Ableton. You don’t have to be a genius, a virtuoso or rich to be able to make good music. All you need are just good ideas and passion for what you do.” “I’d like to give them a real view of what you can do, and to remove the elitist air that many Djs’ and producers try to give it. You don’t have to be a superstar on a big label to make and release your own music anymore. I want them to walk away with the belief that they can do it, doesn’t matter where they’re from or what they’re skill level is. Good music is universal and cuts through all boundaries, no matter how or what you use to make it.” (Information provided by the organiser)
