黃金十年。

十年前DJ Shadow的首張大碟Entroducing…掀起的一場左派Hip-Hop(Leftfield/ Instrumental Hip-Hop)革命可說是一發不可收拾！DJ Krush, Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley的幕後黑手Danger Mouse等也成功地各自延續這場戰火。  Entroducing…這張無懈可擊的劃時代之作除了帶來前所未有的聆聽官能震撼外， 也成為現今Hip-Hop音樂體系的經典教材，
其影响之深遠相信連Shadow自己也意料不及。 

Entroducing…也多次被Musiz, URB,
Mojo等權威音樂雜誌評算為當今最重要的跳舞音樂唱片。 於2001年更成為健力士紀錄裏第一張全用sampling製作的音樂大碟。搶灘成功後的骨牌效應也順理成章帶紅當時的唱片公司Mo Wax及其創辦人James Lavelle。 其後Shadow更高姿態地夥拍James Lavelle的超級side-project U.N.K.L.E更踩過界跟Radiohead的Thom Yorke, Stones Roses的Ian Brown, Verve的Richard Ashcroft及Beastie Boys的Mike D等重量級名字交手。 4年前推出的第二張大碟Private Press內的主打曲目’Six Days’MTV還邀請了當時正忙於拍攝『2046』的王家衛帶同愛將杜可風張震為其操刀， 成為當時香港一時佳話！

2006年的8月Shadow將會推出引頸已待的第三張大碟’The Outsider’。 他已在官方綱站透露新作的風格有別於兩張前作。當大家正密切期待’The Outsider’的同時， SENSE 將會為香港樂迷帶來更加其待的DJ Shadow Live in Concert。 香港將會是這次巡迴演出的亞洲第一站， 也是除日本星加坡外的唯一亞洲演出城市。 8月4號晚大家除了可欣賞Shadow『四盤同捽』的神乎其技外， Shadow將會率領這次World Tour的總動員包括曾為Fatboy Slim大熱作’The Old Pair of Jeans’ 及’Wonderful Night’獻唱的MC Lateef(Solesides Crew/ Quannum MC), 剛離開英倫樂隊Kasabian的成員Christopher Karloff， 還有隨團指定的VJ及Lighting Designer….DJ Shadow Live in Concert World Tour 2006  8月4日矚目襲港！

Shadow's first full-length work, Endtroducing....., was released in late 1996 to immense critical acclaim. Endtroducing made the Guinness World Records book for "First Completely Sampled Album" in 2001. Preemptive Strike, a compilation of early singles, followed in early 1998. Later that year, Shadow produced tracks for Psyence Fiction, the debut album by U.N.K.L.E., a long-time Mo' Wax production team that gained superstar guests including Ian Brown, Thom Yorke (of Radiohead), Richard Ashcroft (of The Verve), Mike D (of the Beastie Boys) and others. His next project came in 1999, with the transformation of Solesides into a new label, Quannum Projects. Nearly six years after his debut production album, his second album, The Private Press, was released in June 2002.. A video for his track "Six Days" was also released in 2002, directed by Wong Kar-Wai.  In 2006, he signed a deal with Universal Records.  Shadow's third full-length album will be titled The Outsider. It will be released August 2006.  With "The Outsider" album release just around the corner, Shadow's been making noise touring around the world with his fully loaded crew include MC Lateef (Quannum , Solesides Crew) and Vocalist Christopher Karloff (ex-Kasabian).
