After a two year break and all back in better health (post drummer Matt Tong’s collapsed lung recovery), the boys are back…and with a proper gusto! Bloc Party’s second album ‘A Weekend in the City’ truly reinstates that ‘guitar bands are not dead!’ With some help from Jacknife Lee (edit maestro for U2) an electronic element is attached to the sound as an overlay to keep the music fresh and appealing to a larger audience. Musically a sound effort, vocally still needs a bit of grease to get the girls in! Rating: 3/5 Review by Nilly C.
