The Hong Kong clubbing community is an interesting one. Because of the high cost in property you will find that most places are medium to small sizes compared to those clubs in other countries. The scene kicked off in about 1991 with warehouse and private underground parties in all different types of locations such as girly bars and restaurants. Today there are more exclusive and private night clubs in Hong Kong, but still there is an endless battle to find a suitable sized venue where International DJs can come and play in Hong Kong. Restaurants, food courts and even runways at the old airport have been used for DJ events and due to drugs appearing within the nightlife community the police have been working every year to prevent such events taking place. There are people such as ourselves who see clubbing as a culture and go out to have fun with friends and enjoy the music and party environment, without drugs coming into the picture. Daily, people ask us where is the best place to go clubbing, partying and enjoying Hong Kong’s amazing Nightlife. Therefore to sum it all up this has been written to make your life and my life easier. This is just a rough guide but may help if you are completely stuck on what to do. You should also use the forum as there you can get first hand information from those going out every week and enjoying the 24hr city! Like one person we know who visited Hong Kong for the first time, they visited one of the most expensive bars, stayed their all night and then had to leave Hong Kong the next day because they spent all their money! He left disappointed, thinking that Hong Kong had nothing to offer, man was he wrong. Of course it depends on how long you are going to stay in the create city, but there is always something going on in Hong Kong each and every day of the week that really makes it known as the city that never sleeps. We hope to continually expand this section, so if anyone wants to add any comments or content please post it in our Forums or send us an email and we can put it up. Hong Kong does have some places on offer that are worth checking out and hopefully will have a nightlife culture that is on par with the rest of the world's top cities. |
